"I would recommend this certification to all experience levels!

When I was researching programs and certifications in e-learning design, I found the OSU PACE program was a certification I could take while working. Once I began the courses I realized what a great deal the certification is! This program is very applicable and hands on. Theory was provided but then the expectation was to apply it.  The format and community was fabulous and a collaborative spirit was fostered by the instructors.  I learned as much from my peers as the instructors.

I took the certification to pursue a career change and most of the information was entirely new to me.  It was presented very clearly and I felt I received not only the foundations of e-learning design but also applicable skills I could utilize immediately. This certification program has been the best use of my time and money and I have successfully switched careers to a Staff Development Coordinator with the majority of my responsibilities in online curriculum development and design."

-Cyndi Stelter, 2015-16 E-Learning Instructional Design and Development Certificate student.

It is recommended that you have a good word processing program, PowerPoint, media players such as Adobe PDF reader and Adobe Flash, and a drawing program which may already be included with your word processing program. When you begin the course, there will be a few links for free programs you will be able to use if you would like. For the Exploring eLearning Tools course in the certificate in the spring, there may be other software and/or app requirements that the instructors will communicate at that time.
